Dorothy J. Schultz, 87, of Green Bay (formerly Oshkosh), passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 8, 2012, with her family by her side. Dorothy was born on December 16, 1924 in Green Bay, WI to the late Antone and Mable Katers. She was married to the late Donald DeVillers and had two children, Christine and Paul. Dorothy was then united in marriage to Arthur Schultz in January 1967 until his death on June 27, 1999.

Dorothy was a Wave in the United States Navy during World War II. She enjoyed cooking and worked at the Tudor House in Oshkosh for 18 years. Dorothy also logged thousands of hours volunteering at the gift shop at Mercy Hospital in Oshkosh.

Dorothy moved to Green Bay three years ago and was a resident of Grancare Nursing Center. While there she enjoyed listening to the musical entertainment, playing bingo, and attending church services. Dorothy was a loving friend, and was always willing to help care for the other residents.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Christine and Bernie Erickson of Green Bay; four grandchildren Jennifer (Jim) Brantner of Howard, Jamie (Steve) Williams of Suamico, Robyn (Andy) Gillis of Howard, and Michelle (Shane) Buschman of Shawano; seven great-grandchildren Mackenzie, Maya, and Isabella Brantner, Jaiden and Sidney Williams, and Cody and Allison Lindal; one sister Katie (Myrv) Cron of Chappell Hill, TX; one daughter-in-law Faye Gerndt of Suring, WI; and special friends Elila Socha and Marie Robinson.

She was preceded in death by her parents Antone and Mable Katers, her son Paul DeVillers, husband Arthur Schultz, and sister and brother-in-law Arlene and Albert Urlich.

The funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Earl Vorpagel officiating at Calvary Lutheran Church, 1301 S. Ridge Road in Green Bay on Saturday, August 11, 2012. Online condolences are welcome at www.PfotenhauerFuneralHome.com.
