Joann Williquette, 78, longtime resident of Howard- Suamico, was called home to heaven on January 17, 2012. She was born on May 18, 1933 in Green Bay to Rachel Eisch and Lloyd Lindner. Joann was a 1951 graduate of West High School. She married Cleon Devroy in November 1953. He preceded her in death in October 1960. She later married Calvin Williquette Sr. January 1963. He preceded her in death in August 2005. She was a proprietor of several taverns throughout her life, one being Jenks Channel Resort in Suamico that she ran throughout the 1980s. Her love for people made her profession one truly loved and enjoyed. She was devoted to her family and took much pride and love in her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening and fishing off her dock on the bay. Joann loved all animals and had many cherished pets.  

She is survived by two daughters, Cheryl Wallin and Lisa Williquette; three sons, David Devroy, Chris Devroy, and Calvin Williquette Jr. (Sam) one step-son, Jim Williquette; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two sisters, Lois Pawelczyk and Shirley Kelsey; one brother, Gary Lindner and his girlfriend Julie Blank; and one aunt. Further survived by many nieces, nephews and loved ones.  

Joann is preceded in death by her two husbands; one daughter; two step- children; two brothers-in law; one sister-in law; her parents and grandparents.  

Visitation will be held from 3 until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21 at the West Side Moravian Church, 1707 S. Oneida St., Green Bay. Memorial Service 5:00 p.m. Saturday at the church. Online condolences welcome at www.PfotenhauerFuneralHome.com
