Robert James Schott, 80, passed away peacefully after a long and courageous battle with lung disease on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at Unity Hospice.

Richard F. Waelchli
July 22, 2010

Richard “Dick” F. Waelchli, 67, Howard, passed away at an area hospital on Thursday, July 22, 2010.

Richard was born in Shawano on Sept. 19, 1942 to the late Fred and Alice (Klemz) Waelchli. He married Adele Coshenet in Oconto Falls on Nov. 16, 1963. Richard was employed as a machine operator at Morning Glory Dairy for 27 years until retiring in Sept. 1999. Richard’s family is very proud of his strength and courage through his long battle with his illness. Richard’s passion was deer hunting, September couldn’t come soon enough. His most adventurous hunt was a trip to Canada. He was a loving, caring, and devoted husband, father, and grandfather and enjoyed his time with family and friends. He was a dedicated and life-long Packer fan. He looked forward to his monthly breakfast get-togethers with his high school classmates. Dick’s hobbies included woodworking, helping his kids with home projects, landscaping, and spending time at his hunting shack.

Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years, Adele; children, Julie (Jim) Priewe; Kevin (Sue) Waelchli; Douglas (Tracy) Waelchli; Jennifer (Jesse) Verdegan; grandchildren, Jordan, Justin and Jennae Priewe; Haiden and Ava Waelchli; Devin and Olivia Waelchli; Dylan and Alexis Verdegan; sisters, Patricia (Jerry) Johnson; Jackie Spears; brother, Fred (Lynn) Waelchli; brothers and sisters-in-law, Carol (Glenn) Magnin; Lenore (Jim) Chevrette; Richard (Annette) Coshenet; Marlene (Darryl) St. John.

Richard was preceded in death by his son, Stephen, his parents, and a brother, Raymond.

Edward Teletzke II
July 21, 2010

Edward Teletzke, II, 61, Green Bay, passed away after a long battle with cancer on Wednesday, July 21, 2010.

Ed was born in New Bedford, MA on April 5, 1949 to the late Edward E. Teletzke I and Dorothy (Motta) Teletzke. He served in the U.S. Navy with the Riverboat Wolverines in Vietnam and was honorably discharged. Ed was employed by the Wisconsin Dept. of Corrections as a correctional officer for 30 years until retiring in the fall of 2004. He lived in Sparta for a longtime before moving to Green Bay. Ed was a member of the Duck Creek VFW Post 7534, Moose Lodge Green Bay and was the sergeant of arms of the Brown County Tavern League. He also enjoyed motorcycles, lots of vehicles and hunting.

Survivors include his sisters, Patricia (Bruce) Hanke, Waupun; Joanne (Thomas) Cleven, Genoa; special friend, Cherl Manteufel; ex-wife, Barbara Teletzke; his two pet dogs, Scooter and Dinah. Further survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents; son, Edward E. Teletzke III.

Margaret 'Peg' Knapp
July 19, 2010

Margaret ‘Peg’ Knapp, 77, Bellevue, passed away at her home on Monday, July 19, 2010.

Peg was born in Green Bay on April 26, 1933 to the late Robert and Francis (Plouff) Stammer. She married Lloyd Knapp on Oct. 4, 1952 and he preceded her in death on May 27, 1990. Peg enjoyed her horses, dogs and her travels to Arizona.

Survivors include her children, Chris (Mark) Marquardt, Neenah; Craig (Chris) Knapp, Green Bay; grandchildren, Rick Bowden; Mike (Jen) Bowden; Tom (Jill) Bowden; great grandchildren, Ashley, Stella and Max Bowden; sisters, Arlene (Dick) Smits, De Pere; Karen (Ray) Boushka, Ashwaubenon.

Peg was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd; son, Curt; and her parents.

Rosine C. Bock
July 12, 2010

Rosine C. Bock, 63, Suamico, passed away at an area hospital after a battle with cancer on Monday July 12, 2010.

Rosine was born in Hewitt, WI July 21, 1946 to the late Frank and Louise (Strigel) Bock.

Rosine is survived by her sister Esther Bock of Milwaukee, brother Gerald Bock of Albuquerque NM, sister Sheila Davis of Hewitt and sister Gerian (Peter) Stargardt of Hewitt.

She was preceded in death by her brothers Martin and Dennis, sisters Yvonne, Eileen and Judy.

Rosine had many nieces and nephews, good friends and her pets Shadow, Georgia and Cleo.

Caroline T. VanLaanen
July 10, 2010

Caroline T. VanLaanen, 83, Duck Creek, was peacefully reunited with her loved ones, while surrounded by her family on Saturday, July 10.

Caroline was born in Green Bay, February 11, 1927 to the late John and Carrie (Kartz) Pakanich. She was a graduate of East High School, married the late Howard J. VanLaanen on November 3, 1945 at St. Willebrord Church in Green Bay. She was a long time resident of Duck Creek. Caroline enjoyed tennis, the Packers, puzzles and playing games with her family. She loved her Grand and Great Grandchildren and was known by them as Grandma Toot-Toot.

Caroline is survived by her children, Gary (Pam), Terry (Laurie), Sharon (Joe) DeGroot, Gail (Don) Rysewyk, Linda (Wayne) Bemis, and Lori (Stan) Sandall; 14 Grandchildren, 18 Great-Grandchildren, and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren; sisters, Gerri Pakanich and Lorraine Komorski; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, sons Richard and Joseph; Grandsons, Greg and Jonathon; brothers, Johnnie, Chuck, and Eddie Pakanich; and sister Mary Bourghnon.

George R. Naser
July 8, 2010

George R. Naser, age 80, of Suamico, passed away at his home after a long illness on Thursday, July 8, 2010.

George was born in Kewaunee on Sept. 12, 1929 to the late George John and Ella May (McMillan) Naser. He served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged. George married Gloria Sorensen on Oct. 29, 1955 in Carney MI. He was employed by Honeywell as an electronic engineer until retiring in 1992. George enjoyed photography, woodcarving, target shooting and traveling the country, including two road trips to Alaska from Florida.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Gloria; children, Michael Naser, Sanford, MI; Susan Doyle, Buffalo Grove, IL; grandchildren, Daniel and Cola Doyle; long time friend, Herman Draeger; and Georges’s special pet dog, John Deere.

George was preceded in death by his parents; father and mother in-law, Alfred G. and Anna Sorensen; his sisters, Patricia and Urith.

A Memorial Celebration of George’s Life will be held at a later date.

Nancy A. Kane
July 4, 2010

Nancy A. Kane, 60, resident of the Village of Howard passed away at home on Sunday, July 4, 2010 after a 10 year battle with cancer.

Nancy was born in Green Bay on August 20, 1949 to Marvin and Rita Corbisier. On April 23, 1984 she married Raymond J. Kane in Las Vegas, NV.

Nancy graduated from East High School in 1967. She was employed at Master Fleet Body and Hoist for 25 years. Thank you to Master Fleet for all their support. She enjoyed reading, shopping, spending time up north and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband Raymond; her daughter Beth (Tony) Vertz; son Kerry Van Roy; step-daughter Shelly Kane; mother Rita Corbisier; brother Greg (Mary) Corbisier; sister Diane (Orville) Ritz; sister Dawn (Sandra) Corbisier; mother-in-law Delores Kane; grandchildren Rick Kane, Alex Heinz, Dominic Vertz and Toby Vertz; her special friend and sister-in-law Fay Kane; sister-in-law Laurie (Rowdy) Hunt and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Nancy was preceded in death by her father Marvin Corbisier, stepson Raymond J. Kane Jr.; brother-in-law Roger Kane; and father-in-law Raymond L. Kane.

Family and friends may call at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Howard, 2561 Glendale Ave, on Thursday, July 8 after 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Thursday at the church with Fr. John Bergstadt presiding. Entombment in Ft. Howard Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers or other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund has been established.

Charles F. Christensen
July 2, 2010

Charles "Charlie" Christensen, 84, lifelong resident of the Village of Howard passed away at a local nursing home with his family right by his side on Friday, July 2, 2010.

Charlie was born in Howard on February 17, 1926 to the late Katherine and Thomas Christensen. On July 26, 1947 he married Martina Cornell. Charlie loved his many gardens, hunting with the boys and spending time with his grandkids. He is now in heaven fishing and arguing with Vernon.

Survivors include his children; David, Elaine and Carl; grandkids Bink and Mark Shreiber; Robbie and Michelle Christensen; Carrie Christensen and Todd Wilcox; Odie and Erin Olson; Shane and Jessica Peche; Joey Christensen; eight great grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Lorraine and Wayne Kadlec; brother, Lawrence Christensen. He is further survived by many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Tina Christensen; son-in-law, Gary Olson; daughters-in-law, Susie Christensen and Ruthie Christensen; grandchildren, Danny Christensen and Leah Granius; three brothers; one sister and both parents.

It was Charlie’s wishes to not have a traditional funeral. There will be a celebration of his life on July 18th, with his grandsons making his famous booyah. The social gathering will be held at the Duck Creek VFW from 12:00-1:00 on Sunday.

Marc Trager
June 29, 2010

Doctor Marc H. Trager, age 64, Village of Howard, passed away at home on Tuesday, June 29, 2010.

Marc was born on March 16, 1946, in New York City. He received his Bachelor’s and Medical Degree from Tufts University in Boston, Mass., and served as a radiologist in the U.S. Air Force in Austin, Texas, after the completion of his internship and residency. While in the Air Force Dr. Trager met his wife, Mary Vandermause, and they were married October 28, 1978. He was honorably discharged and began his private practice in radiology and practiced medicine for over 30 years. He was a member of the American College of Radiology, the Radiologic Society of North America, the Wisconsin Medical Society, and the Brown County Medical Society.

Stepping back from active practice Dr. Trager served on the Village of Howard Residence Appeals Board; mentored and counseled individuals and families facing financial difficulties through his work with Crown Financial Ministries; enjoyed coaching and refereeing soccer in the Green Bay area including several competitive travel teams, the Green Bay East Girls JV Team and Edison Middle School 7th-8th Grade Teams; and was an active and participating member of Green Bay Community Church. Over the last eight months he was a candidate for Wisconsin’s 8th District Congressional seat.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 31 years, Mary, of Howard; children: Staci (Chris) Riordan; Adam Trager, both of Los Angeles; Michael (Tara) Trager, Wauwatosa; Mollie Trager, Howard; grandchildren, Micah and Samantha Riordan; one sister, Ronnie Brown, Pottstown, PA; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Gladys and Emil Vandermause; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Dennis (Roxanne) Vandermause, Spokane, WA; Chuck (Sheri) Vandermause, Austin, TX; Mark (Jo) Vandermause, Appleton; Mike (Cindy) Vandermause, Green Bay; Steve (Deana) Vandermause, Gillett; John (Pattie) Vandermause, Green Bay; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Marc was preceded in death by his father and mother, Philip and Sylvia Trager.

Bernard J. Sinclair
June 22, 2010

Bernard J. Sinclair, age 67, passed away Tuesday, June 22nd after a short battle with lung cancer with his family by his side.

Bernie, the son of the late Bernard E. and Alma (Wilson) Sinclair, was born February 1, 1943. He married the former Lynn White on January 15, 1966. They lived in Suamico for 36 years where he was scoutmaster for several years. He retired from Brown County Highway in 1999. Bernie and Lynn moved to Mountain, WI upon retiring where he remodeled their cottage into a beautiful home on Lower Bagley. No project was too huge for him to tackle. He became sexton of Mountain Cemetery and worked for the Town of Mountain plowing snow and doing road repairs. He was a member of the Mountain Fire Dept. and also a member of their ice rescue team. He also was a heavy equipment operator for Peter’s Concrete after his retirement from Brown County. Moving to Gillett in 2007 to be closer to family and for health reasons, he remodeled their home and garage. He completed his projects in the fall of 2009. He plowed snow for the Town of Oconto Falls until his cancer diagnosis.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Lynn; two children and their spouses, Butch (Laura) Sinclair and Mary Lee (Jeff) Dorn. Grandpa will be missed by his four loving grandchildren, Jessica Sinclair (special friend Jon Nelson); Brandon Sinclair; Alison Dorn and Emily Dorn. Further survived by sisters, Marie (James) Holtz; Ann Vandeeloo (special friend Greg Hansen); brother, Leo Sinclair; brothers and sisters-in-law, Sharon (Gerald) Stedl; Mary Ann (Darrell) Andrews; Ray E. White; Wayne (Teri) White; Ken (Tammy) White; Kevin (April) White. He is further survived by his Aunt Vine; Marion Wilson; and a special Aunt Gen Sinclair; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Neil Joseph Sheedy
June 9, 2010

Neil Joseph Sheedy, age 85, of Savanna, Illinois, (formerly of Flintville, Wisconsin), died on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at home surrounded by his family.

Neil was born on November 26, 1924 in Anston, Wisconsin, the son of Ambrose and Flora (Burdeau) Sheedy. Neil was from a family of eleven and was the ninth child. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1943 and served through World War II in the South Pacific. He served on board the USS Twining and during his enlistment the crew earned five battle stars. Neil married Beverly Ann Clennon Allshouse on August 15, 1957 in Savanna. Beverly passed away on October 7, 2007 in Savanna.

Neil worked for the Milwaukee Line Railroad for 40 years as a Conductor and a Brakeman until his retirement in 1987. He was a member of the VFW in Suamico, Wisconsin, and the Savanna Moose Lodge. He was also a member of the United Transportation Union and the National Association of Retired Veteran Railway Employees Inc. Neil was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and loved spending time with his family and friends.

Neil will be dearly missed by his 7 children, Sue (Paul) Mills, Sandra (Bob) Wolfe, Edward (Judy) Allshouse, Tammy Humphreys, Timothy (Jenise) Sheedy, Terry Miller, Trudy Sheedy Corlis; 19 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; one brother, Robert (Mary Jean) Sheedy; and sisters-in-law, Martha Sheedy, Evelyn Sheedy, and Betty Sheedy.

Neil was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly; one son, Donald; five brothers, Irvin, Harold, Lawrence, Ambrose, and Willard Sheedy; and four sisters, Evelyn Sheedy, Margaret Weyenberg, Mildred Weycker, and Dorothy Bussiere.

A memorial gathering and service was held on Saturday, June 12, at the First Presbyterian Church in Savanna, Illinois with the Reverend Michael Wey officiating. Cremation rites were accorded. Inurnment was in the Savanna Township Cemetery in Savanna, Illinois. Memorials may be given to the Suamico VFW Post #9409 in Neil’s memory. Adriana Sue Jaimes, 17, Green Bay, went to be with her Savior on Friday, May 21, 2010.

Ana was born on August 26, 1992. Ana’s life was one of happiness and love. She shared her life with her mother, Michelle Baenen Jaimes and her brothers, CJ and Austin Jaimes. They meant the world to her and her to them.
