Obituary

Aaron J. Karpeck, age 49, of Green Bay, WI, passed away unexpectedly on June 26, 2025, after a long battle with multiple health issues. He was born on October 25, 1975, to Frederick and Patricia (Weslow) Karpeck in Green Bay, WI. He graduated from Bay Port High School in 1995 and went on to join the local bricklayers' union, where he helped build the new Lambeau Field stadium. After an injury in his mid-twenties, he left the union and began a career working for several major trucking companies as a parts specialist. His hobbies included fishing, watching the Packers, spending time with family and friends, and hanging out with his dog (and best buddy), Jack.

Aaron's caring personality and quick wit changed the atmosphere everywhere he went. He loved others deeply, and even on the darkest of days, his humor would brighten the room. Despite enduring many challenges, he was always willing to help his friends and family (even if only by pulling up a barstool alongside someone or sending a meme via text). Aaron was fortunate to be surrounded by so many people who loved him, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.

He is survived by his mother, Patricia, and four sisters: Michelle (Michael) Zuber, Cathi (Michael) Oreto, Vicki (Michael) Christens, and Theresa (Aaron) Hamous, along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Frederick, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 3, at 6 p.m., with visitation beforehand from 4–6 p.m., at Pfotenhauer Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Howard, 1145 Cardinal Lane. After the service, friends and family are invited to stop by Duke's Red Lantern on Velp Ave. to raise a toast in his memory.

In lieu of flowers, friends and family are asked to make donations in his honor to Lucky 7 Dog Rescue—the local organization from which he adopted his dog-son, Jack.
