Alan G. Strauss, 74, passed away at home on May 25, 2026. He was born on July 29, 1951, in Milwaukee to the late Gerhardt and Bernice (Ripley) Strauss. He proudly served in the National Guard and was honorably discharged in 1975. After working in the printing industry for 37 years, Alan attended WCTC, at 55 years old, to obtain an Automated Systems Technology degree.

Alan married the love of his life, Georjean, on November 3, 1973, at Holy Hill. After 52 years of marriage, Alan still made sure to make Georjean his priority. He truly was one of the most thoughtful and generous souls, never hesitating to lend a helping hand. He loved his family and was always working on something: remodel projects (major and small), fixing vehicles, or simply whatever he could help with. Alan could be found wood working in his free time and it soon became a passion of his over the last 8 years. Countless furniture items, cutting boards, wine racks and so much more.

Alan is survived by his wife, Georjean Strauss; daughters, Stephanie & Matt Borgstrand and Samantha & David Knuff; grandchildren, Maxwell & Gavin Knuff and Alexandra & Sonja Borgstrand; brother, Richard & Joanne Strauss; and sister, Mary Beth Arthur. He is preceded in death by his parents.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Donations can be made in Alan's honor to Habitat for Humanity or a local Veteran's organization.
