Alexander John Bandish Jr., 87, Green Bay, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, May 20, 2016. He was born on the south side of Chicago on Dec. 23, 1928 to the late Alexander and Anne (Yourkoski) Bandish Sr. Alex served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged. He married June Collins in Chicago on July 11, 1959 and they celebrated 57 years of marriage. Alex was employed at Western Electric in Cicero, IL for 28 years retiring in 1985. They moved to Green Bay and he was employed at Belmark Inc. He loved the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears, puzzles, cooking and gardening.
Survivors include his loving wife, June; children, Brian; Diana (Jon); Laura (Dave); grandchildren, Brad, Justin, Gerry, JD, Lexi, Tara, Rebecca and Jasmine; 15 great grandchildren; brother, Ronald (Juanita); sister Dolores (Bob). He loved his cats, Sandy and Patches; grand dogs, Finnegan, Allie and Cooper.
Family and friends may call at the Pfotenhauer Funeral Home & Cremation Service, East-Town location, 2379 East Mason St., on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 from 4 until 6:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 11-12:00 noon.
