Amy Eileen Lafferty (Besson) entered eternal life on February 23, 2017 after her second battle with cancer. She was welcomed into the big dance party in the sky by her parents, Donald and Karen Besson, father-in-law, Calvin Lafferty and brother, Mark Besson. At the vibrant age of 54, Amy was the loving mother of daughters Jennalee, Kati and Rebecca Poulsen, step-children Kira and Jacob Loftis, and Christopher Lafferty. She was also the devoted wife of Garrett "Ziggy" Lafferty, a caring sister and a thoughtful aunt.

On January 3, 2015, Amy married her best friend, small business partner and cribbage rival, Ziggy. She, Ziggy and their canine companion, Marley Mae, enjoyed their time "up nort" on White Potato Lake so much that they made it their home in August of 2015. A homemaker at heart, Amy loved the time she spent cooking, cleaning and creatively crafting.

When you think of Amy, please remember the joy she brought to your life along with her forever lasting memories she shared with her family. Per Amy's request, there will be no formal funeral services, but a celebration of life. Pfotenhauer Funeral Home will be assisting with her after-life wishes. Amy always favored the time she spent with family and close friends. In her final days, she was surrounded by her husband, three daughters, sister, brothers, nieces, nephews and close friends. She even performed a mock wedding for her daughter, Jennalee, and fiancé, Jacob Rusch.  Amy let us know she was comfortable and at peace by giving us one last thumbs up shortly before she passed.  Atta girl!

Her Besson Family includes siblings Eric Besson, Susan Besson and John K. Jacobs, David Besson and fiancé Sherry Newberg, and Paul and Amy Jo Besson; nieces and nephews include Chris and Sarah Besson and their children, Mykele and Rogue, Shaun and Tasha Besson and their children, Trinity, Kylie, Ava, and the awaiting Kensley, Marissa Besson, Lauren Besson, Wesley Besson, Joshua Besson and fiancé Abby Harteau, and Abby Besson.

Amy's Lafferty Family includes Mother-in-law, Patsy Lafferty; Siblings-in-law include Sheryle and Dan Roland, Micheel Ely, Mike and Barb Lafferty and Kevin and Judy Lafferty.

Our family would like to express our sincere appreciation for all the love, support, kind words and prayers given to them from their family and friends. We would also like to thank our Unity Hospice family, most especially Brenda, Kathy and Steve. Also, a heartfelt thank you to Andy Pfotenhauer and his staff at Pfotenhauer Funeral Home for their kindness and compassion caring for Amy and her family.
