Obituary

Angeline “Angie” Hegyera, 98, passed from the presence of her family into the presence of her Lord on July 14, 2026. Born November 5, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Lamantia) Campagna. Angie had recently moved to Green Bay but had been a lifelong resident of Kenosha. She attended local schools, graduating from Mary D. Bradford Highschool in 1946. She married Edward Hegyera, on July 16, 1949, at Calvary Baptist Church. He preceded her in death on January 13, 2004.

Angie served as parish administrator for Trinity Lutheran Church, retiring in April of 2010 after 38 years of service. Angie enjoyed cooking, knitting, sewing, gardening, and was a member of the Women’s International Bowling Congress (WIBC).

Over the years she was actively involved in the Baptist Tabernacle, serving as secretary, church clerk, choir, Sunday school teacher, and Girls Missionary Guild Leader. She continued worshiping at Racine Bible Church with her family. She was never loud about her faith but lived it out daily. Sharing it clearly with her family and ones closest to her.

Angie is survived by her daughter, Barbara Hunt of Green Bay; her son, David (Susan) Hegyera of Waterford; five grandchildren, Elizabeth and Rebekah Hunt, Steven, Katy, and Kristina Hegyera; and great-granddaughters, Ava Davenport and Nova Hegyera.

She is preceded by her husband, Edward; her parents, Michael and Anna Campagna; her sister, Nancy Tarsitano; her brothers, Casimer, Richard, and Peter; her son-in-law, Jim Hunt.

A visitation for Angie will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Pfotenhauer Funeral Home Howard-Suamico, 1145 Cardinal Lane, Green Bay, WI 54313, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. She will be laid to rest at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park, Kenosha.

In leu of flowers, memorials will be kindly accepted by the family and generously donated to Racine Bible Church and Jacob’s Well, Green Bay.
