Anthony J. Horkman, 90, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2021 with family by his side. He was born on April 19, 1930 to the late Edward and Patronella (Lathauer) Horkman. Anthony served in the United States Army before being honorably discharged in 1949.

He began work at the Pulaski Shoe Factory where he met the love of his life, Dorothy (Piontek) Horkman. They had worked together, side by side, and were married on December 30, 1950. Anthony and Dorothy recently celebrated 70 years of marriage together. He went on to work 41 years until retirement with Procter & Gamble.

Anthony enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading, gardening, and spending time with family and his grandsons. He was a longtime member of Ss. Edward and Isidore Catholic Parish.

Survivors include his lovely wife, Dorothy; children, David Horkman, Dolores (Kerry) Shipley, and Tom (fiancé Diane Boeder) Horkman; grandchildren, Brandon and Dylan Shipley; sisters, Gladys Lamal and Mary Ann Horkman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law, Alvin Lamal; and parents-in-law, Frank and Tilly Piontek.

A visitation will be held at 12 p.m. on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Ss. Edward and Isidore Catholic Church, 3667 Flintville Road, Suamico. Mass of Christian Burial 1:00 p.m. with Father David Hoffman officiating. Online condolences welcome at www.PfotenhauerFuneralHome.com
