Obituary

Arthur S. LaBine, 66, Abrams, WI, passed away, after battling Lewy Body Dementia/Parkinsons, surrounded by his loving family on Saturday January 12, 2019. Art was born on February 4, 1952 in Stambough, MI, son of Ferinand and Garnett (Egan) LaBine. He grew up in Long Lake, WI and graduated from Florence High School in 1970.

Arthur joined the United States Army in 1972 and served three years as a mechanic. He was married on July 22, 1972 to the love of his life, Janet Kwiatkowski-LaBine in Green Bay, WI. Art worked as a regional parts coordinator for Schneider Transport. Then he worked 20 years as the Used Equipment Manager for Fairchild Equipment, before retiring in 2015.

He is survived by his loving wife, Janet of Abrams; children Scott (Gwen) LaBine, Hastings MN; Michael (Sarah) LaBine, Green Bay WI; and Jason LaBine, Green Bay, WI; brother Jim (Deb) McMullen, Mauston, WI; sister, Isabel (LaBine) Stuhlmacher, Aurora, WI; grandchildren, Alexandria, Logan, Breanna, Lilyanna, Gracie, Ellah LaBine; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, John (Debbie) Kwiatkowski, Jim (Rhonda) Kwiatkowski, Joe (Mary) Kwiatkowski, Jeff (Sherri) Kwiatkowski, Judy (Mike) Oleck, Jean (Gary) Franzen; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Fritz LaBine, Terry and Albert McMullen, David LaBine; one sister, Grace Halada; father-in-law and mother-in-law Edward and Ann Kwiatkowski.

Art was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He had a special place in his heart for each and everyone of them. He loved traveling with family and friends, especially the trips to Mazatlan, Mexico. He enjoyed working on the land in Crivitz with his tractor, camping and being outdoors. He loved grouse hunting around Long Lake and his hunting trips with his sons and good friend Rick. He had a love and knowledge for old cars and trucks. Art was a very dependable and giving man who always took the time to listen to whatever you needed to say. He will be deeply missed by everyone.

A special celebration of Art's life will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2597 Glendale Ave., (one quarter mile east of the corner of Cardinal Ln. and Glendale Ave.),  Howard, from 9 until 12:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial 12:00 noon with Father Scott Valentyn officiating.
