Obituary

Bernadette Kwasny, 81, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2025. Bernadette was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, known for her infectious personality, quick wit, and zest for life.

She was born on February 11, 1944, to the late Ralph and Laura Cain in Plum City and grew up in Spring Valley, WI. She was a loving homemaker to her four children, filling their home with warmth, laughter, and the comforting aromas of her delicious cooking. Later in life, she brought that same kindness and energy to her role in customer service at Oneida Casino, where she made countless friends and brightened the days of those around her.

Bernadette had a deep love for her family and cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She enjoyed long walks, tending to her garden, decorating her home, and dancing whenever the music moved her. She lived life to the fullest, spreading joy wherever she went.

She will be remembered fondly and missed dearly by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Bernadette is survived by her children, Angie Jauquet, Lisa Joyce, Troy Langer, and Amy (Wayne) Delvoye; grandchildren, Jeremy Jauquet, Crystal (Jon) Giles, Dillon Joyce, Logan (Caitlin) Joyce, Casey (Nick) Benson, Jacob Delvoye, and Cassandra (Austin) Delvoye; great-grandchildren, Desi Zepnick, Maggie & Ozzi Joyce, Jonah & Blake Benson, and Russell & Ophelia Joyce; siblings, Margaret Rootes, Ronald Cain, Janet (Chuck) Walz, and Linda Markus and many more family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Charles (Mary) Cain, Lorretta (Joe) Stogsdill, Kenneth Cain, James Cain, and Gerald (Linda) Cain; and brothers-in-law, Roger Markus and Larry Rootes.
