Bert B. De Vasure, 77, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 3, 2023.

Bert was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on April 19, 1946, to Bert T. and Eudell De Vasure.

At a young age, Bert joined the Navy Reserves on May 9, 1963. On August 28, 1963, he joined the United States Marine Corps. Bert served three tours of duty in Vietnam. He retired as a Gunnery Sergeant after 24 years of service. Bert was most proud of his military services. He loved his country as much as he loved his family. He was a proud father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He loved to travel and being outdoors; one of his favorite things was fishing with his family and friends. He Will Truly Be Missed!

Bert is survived by his children, Michael (Lisa), Brian (Alysia), Brad (Mandy), and Keith Davis.

Siblings, Wayne, John, Norman, Mary, and Paulette; 19 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and special friend, Dell Kalbus.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jo; parents, Bert and Eudell; and grandson, Ryker.

Bert will be laid to rest at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Nashville, TN.
