Calvin "Sam"
Williquette Jr.
Dec 20, 1964 — Feb 6, 2023
Calvin (Sam) Williquette Jr. lost his battle with ongoing complications due to Leukemia on February 6th, 2023.
Sam was born on December 20th, 1964, to Calvin and Joann Williquette who resided in the Howard/Suamico area throughout his life. Cal and Joann were well known bar and restaurant owners in the area. One most notably was Jenk's Channel located on the bay down Resort Rd. Sam spent a lot of his time helping with the family businesses, which along with him being a natural mechanically inclined individual, allowed him to develop a number of traits that made him a skilled jack of all trades. From the engine system on a boat, to electrical wiring, lighting and sound, remodeling, mechanics, and appliance repair. He even put on an impressive fireworks show every year at Jenks, and did stage set up for their famous "Battle of the Bands" events. But the one thing Sam learned while he helped his parents was how to be an amazing cook. Which he would utilize his talent in the numerous bars and restaurants he would go on to run. He was proud of his family's legacy and worked hard at it until the very day he went in to the hospital.
Sam's proudest moment came the day he became a grandfather. His grandsons gave him the strength and courage to fight his cancer with everything he had.
Sam is survived by his 4 remaining siblings, Cheryl (Sherry Devroy) Wallin, David and Chris Devroy, and Lisa Williquette (Scott Gagnon), his son Alfonso Lopez and the love of his life, Lisa Brizzolara, his grandsons, Jaxson, Logan and Jaimeson, close friend, Al's mom Debbie Young, many nieces and many nephews, cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Joann Williquette, sister Becky Devroy, and sister in law Jane Walker (David Devroy).
A special thank you to the Bone Marrow Transplant Team at Froedtert Hospital for their tireless efforts to do everything they could to help Sam.
Friends and Family are invited to a Memorial Gathering for Sam at The Four Way Restaurant, located at 1801 Riverside Dr. in Suamico on Friday, February 17th. Guests may start to arrive at 4:00. Online condolences are welcome at www.PfotenhauerFuneralHome.com .
