Carol Diring, 77, a resident of the Village of Howard, died Tuesday morning, March 22, 2022, after suffering with Lewy Body Dementia for several years. She was born on May 19, 1944, in Green Bay, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Daniel and Helen (Wolfe) Yopek. She attended Denmark High School and worked as an orthodontic lab technician for more than 20 years. She enjoyed working in her garden where she could enjoy the beautiful flowers and birds singing. After retiring she discovered a love for quilting and crafting. She loved her family and was active in their lives, attending sporting events, music concerts, and watching Packer games. Her trip to China as part of her granddaughter's adoption journey was a highlight of her travel experiences.
Survivors include her partner of almost 50 years, Norbert (Nubs) Phillips, her daughter, Amy (James) Albers of Howard, and her son, Scott (Kimberly) Diring of Mukwonago; Nubs' children Steven (Margaret) Phillips of Green Bay, Sheila (Barry) Belschner of Kewaunee, Anne (Jim Modl) Follet of Oconto, and Kathy (Gary Biersteker) Phillips of Green Bay; 10 grandchildren Brooke Albers, Anthony Diring, Michael Albers, Alex Diring, Hayden Diring, Austin Diring, Jocelyn Albers, Taylor Albers, Elizabeth Diring, Ashton Diring; Nubs' grandchildren and spouses Wessley (Lauren) Wood, Matthew (Desiree) Wood, Bryce (Lauren) Belschner, Jason (Laura) Belschner, Rachel Phillips, Jamie Phillips, Robby (Rebecca Ferry) Knaus; sisters Judy Konop and Lynn (Wayne) Strebel both of Green Bay; and many nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren.
Carol is preceded in death by an infant son, her parents, brothers David and Elmer Yopek, sister-in-law Abbie Yopek, granddaughter Brittany Diring, and Nubs' son Mark Phillips.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Tender Hearts Assisted Living facility, Heartland Hospice, and Pfotenhauer Funeral Home for their exceptional care and assistance.
Friends are invited to gather with family for visitation from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm with a memorial service at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Green Bay Botanical Garden, 2600 Larsen Rd, Green Bay, WI.
