Chris M. Weiland, age 59, passed away unexpectedly on April 28, 2025. He was born on August 11, 1965, to Dale Weiland and Donna Holtz. Chris grew up in Howard, attending St. John the Baptist Catholic School and later graduating from Bay Port High School.

Chris had various jobs throughout his life. He drove truck for many years for Schultz Trucking until he purchased his own quad axle dump truck and established his own business, Weiland Enterprises, LLC, in 2014.

Chris had a knack for fixing all things and was always willing to lend a helping hand. His shop door was always open and anyone was welcome, often greeting them with a cold Busch Light. He loved being outdoors. Every spring you could find him planting his garden with a few veggies but mostly pumpkins for his mother and granddaughters to enjoy in the fall. Chris enjoyed hunting, fishing, UTV rides, racing, and spending his free time at the cabin, which he and his dad built together many years ago. Chris spent countless hours helping his son-in-law, Tyler, work on his race truck and spending many weekends at the track. Those two were truly two peas in a pod. He enjoyed the silliness and sass of his two granddaughters. He would never admit it but his shop cats, GPS and Smokey, held a special place in his heart.  "That Damn Cat" is a phrase you'd hear him say often!

Chris is survived by his daughter, Amber (Son-in-law, Tyler) Plamann; her mother, Dawn Weiland; Parents: Donna Holtz (Stepfather, Larry Holtz) and Dale Weiland (Stepmother, Joanie Weiland); Siblings: Mark Weiland, Jodi (Darrin) Pelegrin Blades, Julie (Steve) Pelegrin Butler, Jeremy (Partner, Robert Hileman) Pelegrin; Granddaughters: Riley Plamann and Riverlyn Plamann. He is further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends, his grand-pup, Roxie, and shop cat, Smokey.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM with a short service at 7:00 PM at Pfotenhauer Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1145 Cardinal Lane, Howard-Suamico location.
