Obituary

Clair R. Plautz, 65, De Pere, formally of Howard, WI, passed away on Monday, September 9, 2019 unexpectedly. He was born in Green Bay on Feb. 11, 1954 to the late Edwin and Lorraine (White) Plautz. Clair was baptized on April 4, 1954 and confirmed on April 15, 1973. He graduated from Syble Hopp School on June 3, 1975. Clair worked at Green Bay Beverage Inc., BARC Industries/Aspiro for 40+ years, until his retirement in June 2018.

Clair was a big man with a huge heart, easy going and a loving disposition. Even though being non-verbal he was able to communicate his wishes via our own form of sign language to those around him, good or bad. He was the best hugger and was always ready to give them out even if it meant lifting you off the floor, which he was known to do at times. Being brought up in a Christian home he was always ready to go to Sunday worship service. He may not of been able to verbally participate, but did have a true faith in the Lord. Clair was blessed to live in the family home for 45 years and truly knew he was loved. Some of Clair's enjoyments were smoking his pipe, a good meal, bowling, being around people, and going on Lamer's bus trips, be it one day or more. He touched so many lives and will be missed by many!

Survivors include his sister, Sandra (Vernon) Kozicki; sister-in-law, Sharon Plautz; nephews, Brian (Karen) Plautz, Mark Plautz and Matt Plautz; aunts, cousins and friends.

Clair was preceded in death by his Mom and Dad; brother, Blaine Plautz; one infant sister.

Thanks goes to Oakes Family Care for the care given for the last 17 years and also nephew, Brian for his help and involvement in Clair's life.
