Clifford Harold Durkee, 90, Green Bay, passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2017. He was born in Oshkosh on March 2, 1927 to the late Harold C. and Leona (Marden) Durkee. Cliff graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1944 and the University of Illinois in 1945 from the Army Specialized Training Reserve Program (ASTRP). He served in the US Air Force from June 1945 to Dec. 1946 in the Finance Department, 316th Bomb Wing, 8th Air Force located on Okinawa. Cliff was employed at Wisconsin Public Service Corp. from Jan. 1947 to June 1989. He was a member of the Data Processing Management Association from 1965 to 1980 and recipient of the Individual Performance Award in 1977. He also was a member of the Association of Records Management and Administrators. Cliff served his community as a member of the Brown County Health Assoc. (Christmas Seal Chairman), Wisconsin Lung Assoc., Data Processing Advisory Committee at NWTC, Howe School (teacher helper), Kiwanis Golden K (Lt. Governor Division 17), Meals on Wheels Driver and a volunteer at St. Vincent de Paul. He was a member of First United Methodist Church serving as a certified lay speaker, Class Leader, Representative to Wisconsin Annual Council and Ministries and Confirmation Class Leader. Cliff married Jean Tuttle at Zion United Methodist Church on Feb. 11, 1956. She preceded him in death on Dec. 19, 2000. He married Marilyn Blazei on March 27, 2004.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn; children, Sandra Pitzen, Mary Ahrndt, Craig Durkee, Ruth Nicholson, Susan (Larry) Lawyer; grandchildren, Scott (Tara) Miller, Michael (Audrey) Steinberg, Benjamin Heesaker, Andrea Heesaker, Curtis Durkee, Chad (Melanie) Reinhard, Alicia (Tony) Purpur, Jessica Hauner (special friend Tony), Preston Moeller, Paige Moeller, Patrick Moeller, Samantha Lawyer; 14 great grandchildren; siblings, Marden (Joan) Durkee, Howard (Delores) Durkee, Harlan Durkee; sister-in-law, Sherri Durkee.
Cliff was preceded in death by his wives, Jean and Shirley Durkee; brother, Lawrence Durkee; sisters, Belva Goodacre and Roberta Hyler; daughter, Rebecca Staub; granddaughter, Michelle Steinberg; sister-in-law, Norma Durkee; brother-in-law, Donald Hyler; son-in-law, Rob Nicholson.
