Daniel James Mabie, 61, Howard, passed away surrounded by his family after a long and courageous battle with myasthenia gravis on Saturday, December 10, 2016. He was born in Fond du Lac on March 9, 1955 to John Elwood and Lois Marie (Thurman) Mabie.

He was employed at Marc's Big Boy, in sales at Imperial Green Bay and recently in sales at Menard's. For the past 20 years, he has resided and raised his family in the Village of Howard. He enjoyed golf, was an avid Packers fan, loved boating and was a past member of the Green Bay Yacht Club.

Dan is survived by his wife of 27 years, Diane; three daughters, Amanda (Justin) Wangerin; Brianna Mabie; Courtney Mabie; one son, Adam Mabie and his girlfriend, Abby Taylor; three grandchildren, Kaelie, Kaydence, and Theodore Wangerin; his mother, Lois; one brother, Tim (Barb) Mabie and one sister, Mary Lodes. He is also survived by many friends and relatives, and his dogs, Bailey and Indy.

He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents; a brother-in-law, David Lodes; niece, Molly Mabie.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2016 from 3 until 5:00 p.m. with a memorial service at 5:00 pm at Pfotenhauer Funeral Home, Howard-Suamico location, 1145 Cardinal Lane. Online condolences welcome at www.PfotenhauerFuneralHome.com
