Darwin G. Ostrenga, 80, Village of Howard, passed away with family by his side on Thursday, July 1, 2021. He was born in Green Bay on Feb. 22, 1941 to the late Mitchell and Norma (Folkman) Ostrenga.

Darwin served in the US Navy and was honorably discharged. He married Kathleen Nelson on July 11, 1964 at St. John's Lutheran Church. He was employed as a supervisor at Wisconsin Public Service for 32 years. Buzz was a very handy man. He could fix anything and would help anyone who needed it.

Survivors include his wife Kathy; children, Tina Marie Ostrenga (Driscoll), Teri Lynn (Dan) Ostrenga, Trent Michael (Michelle) Ostrenga; grandchildren, Amber Whitney (Hylok), Laura Umentum (Vandenbush), Serenity Driscoll, Jasmine Driscoll, Mitchell Ostrenga, Grant Ostrenga, Avah Ostrenga, Gavin Ostrenga; great grandchildren, Aden Hylok, Ashton Hylok, Owen Vandenbush; niece Maria Ostrenga (husband Kevin Beams); nephews Joe Sefcik and Paul (Kara) Sefcik; sister Diane (Ronald) Sefcik; sister-in-law, Zita Ostrenga.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Eldor and Mitchell Ostrenga; nephew David Ostrenga.

The family would like to thank our neighbors, Rob and Vicky Walker and John and Jenny Puishis for helping Buzz with the yard work and shoveling snow, we will be forever grateful. We would also like to thank Cujo (granddaughter Amber's fiancé) for all his help whenever we needed him. Amber was always checking on her Papa, calling and coming over. The family also thanks Unity Hospice and Alpha Senior Concepts for the care they provided.
