David Alan
Krause
Dec 31, 1961 — Dec 15, 2023
It is with heavy hearts we announce the unexpected passing of David Alan Krause on December 15, 2023. David was a very compassionate and loving man through his struggles with a variety of medical issues, stemming from psoriatic arthritis and most recently, mild stages of Parkinson's disease diagnosed in August 2023. He dedicated a significant part of his life serving to his country as a military policeman in the U.S. Army from 1986 – 1989. He had a diverse career working part time at Walmart and full time at Georgia Pacific, working both positions for 15 plus years. His strong work ethic and dedication were evident in all he did. He retired in 2021 to care for his late wife, Vicki, who passed from esophageal cancer. David had no biological children of his own, but considered his pets his "kids." Together he and Linda (his fiancée) cared for three pugs, a black lab, two tabby cats, Jester and Dutchy. The dogs had age related illnesses which they succumbed to, from December 2021 – February 2022. David was an animal lover; he had an innate connection with all animals he came in contact with. He loved feeding the birds in his back yard throughout the winter months, as needed during other seasons.
One of David's greatest joys was his time spent with Linda going on various road trip adventures. Some of his treasured times were going on vacation to visit Linda son, Scott, in Texas exploring different sites and visiting at Jerry's cabin in Pence, WI. He loved taking in the Northwood's. Other roads trips he also enjoyed were checking out a wide variety of casinos in the U.S.; including Oklahoma, Ohio, Missouri, Minnesota, Michigan, and Wisconsin.
David is survived by his fiancé Linda Sinclair; future step children Jerry (Jolene) Sinclair, Scott Sinclair, Kimberly (Mike) Nackers, Christine Terrien; mother Mary Krause; brother Ken (Jane) Krause; sister Katheryn Krause; sister in law Cindy (Rick) Eger; Along with many other close family members.
David is preceded in death by his first wife Vicki Krause, and father Gene Krause.
David will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and the love he shared with everyone he encountered. His legacy lives on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
A private family service will take place on a future date. In lieu of flowers, David's wish would be that donations be made to the local humane society, an organization that aligns with David's passion for animals.
Miss you and love you always,
Your soul partner Linda and "kids" Jester and Dutchy.
