Donna Jones, 46, passed away unexpectedly yet peacefully in her sleep while she held her son's hand on Sunday, January 17, 2016.

She was born on May 1, 1969 in Lincoln County, Tomahawk, WI to Gloria and the late Stanley Jones. She graduated from Bay Port High School, Class of 1987. During her late teens she would fall in love and have a son right before turning 20. After a couple of jobs, she would find her calling and home at Shopko during 1998, where she worked diligently, passionately and tirelessly while working her way up. She worked for the company for 18 years until her resignation in Dec, 2015. During her earlier years she passionately raised her son with everything she had. She enjoyed the simple things in life such as nature, caring for animals, being with her father, family and friends, especially her best friend Kim, they were two peas in a pod. She would later enjoy concerts, movies and spending time with her son, festivals and gatherings with her love Matt, being with family and friends, being outdoors, taking care of her father as he fought cancer, adopting family pet "bootsie" who lived to be 20 thanks to her tender loving care, music and anything unique.

She was diagnosed with aggressive late stage melanoma in early 2015 and fought relentlessly, never giving up hope while keeping her passion, bull headedness and unique personality until her final breath. She never lost who she was and will forever be an inspiration. Donna was the most caring, kind, passionate, hard working person you would ever meet, and she made it a priority to help others regardless of the time of day or what they needed, even as she fought cancer. She will be deeply missed, but her presence will be eternal from the hearts she touched as heaven gained a badass angel.

Donna is survived by her son Tyler Hurning; her mother, Gloria Jones; her final love Matt Siudzinski; her son's father David Hurning; sisters Debra Jones, Diana Jones Graef; brother's Donald Jones, Dale Jones and Douglas Jones; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and her adopted cat "Red".

She was preceded in death by Stanley Jones, George and Elena (Koski) Jones, Grace (Jones) Seichtu and Herb; John and Bernadine (Menting) Gallagher; and family pet Bootsie.
