Dorothy A. Horkman, 94, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2023 with family by her side. She was born on December 24, 1928 to the late Frank and Tillie (Safian) Piontek.

She began work at the Pulaski Shoe Factory where she met the love of her life, Anthony Horkman. They had worked together, side by side, and were married on December 30, 1950. Anthony preceded Dorothy in 2021. She also worked for Green Bay Foods, Larsen Canning, and was a homemaker.

Dorothy enjoyed gardening, flowers, shopping, and spending time with family and her grandsons. She was a longtime member of Ss. Edward and Isidore Catholic Parish.

Survivors include her children, David Horkman, Dolores (Kerry) Shipley, and Tom (fiancé Diane Boeder) Horkman and grandchildren, Brandon and Dylan Shipley.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony, her parents, brothers, Tony, Jake, John, Ervin, and Edward; sister, Wanda Pochron; parents-in-law, Edward and Patronella Horkman; and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law.
