Dorothy L. LaCombe, 95, Green Bay, passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2016. She was born in Gladstone, MI on July 28, 1921 to the late Earl and Florence (Dory) Modrow. Dorothy married Marclyn "Ace" LaCombe in Oconto on Sept. 27, 1937. She was employed as an inspector at Elliot Glove Co. They lived in Kelly Lake after retirement for 20 years. He preceded her in death on June 12, 1997. Dorothy then made her home with her daughter Beverly for 13 years. Dorothy enjoyed bowling, baking, cooking and making clowns out of bowling pins. She was a beautiful seamstress and a loving mother and grandmother. Family was everything to her.
Survivors include her two daughters, Beverly Delvoye; Linda (Clark) Carriveau; two sons, Marclyn "Ace" (Teresa) LaCombe; Donald (Glenda) LaCombe; seventeen grandchildren, Machel LaCombe; Julie (Tim) Eichman; Brenda Stenstrup; Renee (Jay) Monette; Crystal Valenta; Josh (Stephanie) Valenta; Stacey (Tony) LaMoureaux; Tami (Jerry) Polarek; Jamie (Lisa) Doeren; Kim Christensen; Dan (Brenda) LaCombe; Rick (Shawn) LaCombe; Kerry (Mark) LaCount; Lori (Dave) Duval; Jason (Ane) Carriveau; Ryan (Jessica) Carriveau; Molly (Billy Kinney) Carriveau; 35 great grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; sister, Jacqueline (Al) Gillis; special sister-in-law, Norma Modrow; sisters-in-law, Lynn Rosera; Elaine Modrow. Further survived by many nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Marclyn "Ace" LaCombe; her parents; son-in-law, Leo Delvoye; daughter-in-law, JoAnn LaCombe; grandson, Brad Lacombe; six brothers, Bruce, Vernon, Dick, Clarence, Wayne and Bob; four sisters, Eleanor, Sylvia, Deloris, Marjorie.
Family and friends may call at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2561 Glendale Ave., Howard, on Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2016 from 9:30 until 11:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial 11:30 a.m. at the church with Rev. John Bergstadt officiating. Online condolences welcome at www.PfotenhauerFuneralHome.com
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name.
The family extends a special thank you to granddaughter Renee Monette and the staff of Marla Vista that gave special care and love to Mom.
