Mrs. Arnold J. (Dorothy G.) Pamperin, 97, Green Bay, died Nov. 16, 2016, at Woodside Lutheran Nursing Home. Born January 3, 1919, in Duck Creek, she was the daughter of the late John and Rose (Fournier) Tonnon and was a lifetime resident of the Village of Howard. She married Arnold J. Pamperin at St. Patrick's Church, Green Bay on October 7, 1936 and they celebrated 54 years of marriage.
Dorothy, in addition to raising seven children was a waitress, hostess and manager at several local supper clubs, including Mae Durys, Vic Lough's, retiring as manager of the Sears Coffee Shop. She was a lifelong member of St. John the Baptist Church, where she was an active member of The Christian Women/Mothers. She was a member of the Duck Creek VFW Post 7534 Ladies Auxiliary, The Queen Mother of the Happy Wheelers Red Hatters Society at Woodside Lutheran Home and lived life to the fullest. Dorothy loved needle crafts, ceramics, camping, fishing, card games, bingo and spending time with family. She enjoyed the love and care provided by Woodside Lutheran Home for 17 years, as a long term resident she was very involved in all of the activities and served as the President of the Resident Council.
Dorothy loved her family and is survived by four daughters and two sons, Joan Lannoye (Jim Engebretson); Donna Brunette, Village of Howard; Janice (Ronald) Klein, Two Rivers; Delores (Mike) Hitt; Mesquite, NV; Keith (Judith) Pamperin and Leon (Jenine) Pamperin, and son-in-law Roger Bredael, Green Bay; 22 Grandchildren, Gary (Pamela) Lannoye; Gene (Jean) Lannoye; Lori (Todd) Selissen; Lisa (Brad) Schumacher; Julie (Joe) Webster; Kathy (Guy) Harrison; Theresa (Tom) Demeny; Kyle (April) Brunette; Keri (Dan) Siehr; Kelly (Greg) McKenzie; Jared (Michelle) Pamperin; Jane (Brian) Paulson; Lynn (Dave) Paplham; Amy (Andy) Evenson; Kevin (Bridgett) Klein; Kory (Kari) Klein; Nicklas (Kelly) Eckers; Jonathon (Erin) Hitt; Sarah Hitt; Jesse (Brian) Pamperin; Adam (Ashley) Pamperin; Amanda Pamperin (fiancé John Long); 47 Great-Grandchildren and 23 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
She is further survived by Sisters-in-law Betty O'Connor, Pulaski; Dorothy Conard, Ripon; Rose (Richard) Suidzenski, Sunnyvale, CA; also survived by nieces, nephews and many friends.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, John and Rose Tonnon; husband Arnold J. Pamperin; daughter, Carol Bredael; one infant grandson, Christopher J. Pamperin; son-in-law, John (Jack) Lannoye; three brothers and spouses, Lloyd (Viola), Archie (Ida) , Norbert (Veronica); three sisters and spouses, Irene (Phil) Peeters, Romaine (Lawrence) Mommaerts and Isabell (Clarence) Kropp and other brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
The family will receive friends at the Pfotenhauer Funeral Home, Howard-Suamico location, 1145 Cardinal Lane, on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016 from 5 until 7:00 p.m. Parish prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation continues on Wednesday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2561 Glendale Ave., Howard, from 10:30 to 12:00 noon. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and she will be sadly missed by all that knew her!
In lieu of flowers and other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund has been established at the funeral home.
