Dorothy Ann Shrader, 89, passed away on January 2, 2021. She was born on May 24, 1931 to Alexander and Thelma (Thompson) Wojtkiewicz. Dorothy married Edwin Jack Shrader on September 30, 1950. He preceded her in death in 2016.
Dorothy grew up in Wausaukee and graduated from high school. She worked at the Wausaukee Club for many summers. She loved her children and was a devoted grandma and great grandma. Dorothy loved all animals and took in any stray that happened to cross her path. Dorothy also enjoyed working as an Activity Director for a number of different nursing homes. She learned how to downhill ski at the age of 50, she would try anything!
Survivors include her children, Daniel (Theresa) Shrader; Scott Shrader; Jane (Michael) Fitzgerald; Jean (Jay) Kaster; Judy (Russell) Dart; Jo Ann (David) Eland; grandchildren, Jack (Akiyah) Shrader; Jeremy (Lee Ann) Shrader; Tina (Jason) Kornowski; Shara (Tim) Gilkey; Jamaica (Tim) Eibles; Autumn (Wes) Ward; Jaclyn (Jason) Cravens; Brett (Jordan) Fitzgerald; Jay (Sarah Dollaway-Kaster) Kaster; Jarica Kaster; Melanie Dart; Brooke (Rudi) Machilek; Joshua (Alyssa) Dart; David (Taylor Campbell) Eland Jr.; Brittany (Tyler) Sanftleben; Daniel (Jaidyn Mayer) Eland; great grandchildren, Kane, Raven and Isis Shrader; Mack Shrader; Molly and Jackson Gilkey; Charlie, Samuel and Meara Eibles; Abby and Cole Ward; Allyson and Coy Cravens; Dane Kaster; Jayden Vogel; and special animal friends, Chico, Sabrina, Tara, Tori and Leo.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edwin; sister and brother-in-law, Leona (Robert) Hurst.
Family and friends may call at Nativity of Our Lord Parish, 2270 S. Oneida St, Green Bay, on Thursday, January 7, 2021 from 10-11:00 a. m., with a private Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 a.m. with Father Matt Simonar officiating. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
