Dorrenne R. LaPlant, 84, passed away on April 23, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born to the late Clifford and Marcella Beth on July 18, 1940. Dorrenne graduated from West High School, class of 1959, where she was a part of the orchestra and played the upright bass violin.

Dorrenne enjoyed bowling, reading, gardening, arts and crafts, and watching football. She loved her family and grandchildren – especially watching them in all their activities. She will be deeply missed.

Dorrenne is survived by her loving husband, Larry D. LaPlant; children, David (Diane) LaPlant, Steve LaPlant, Paul (Heather) LaPlant, and Georgina (LaPlant) Sobiek; grandchildren, Devon LaPlant (Krystal Baeten), Morgan MJ (Kyle) Pawelczyk, Dustin LaPlant, Morgan T. LaPlant, Austin Sobiek, Camron Wickman, Nicholas LaPlant, Michael LaPlant, Larissa Sobiek (Devon Donald); sister, Marilyn Engebos (Toots); special friends, Gene and Evie Ament, Margaret Schmidt, and Jean Allen; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters, brother, parents-in-law, and other various family members.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 1 from 3:00 – 6:00 PM at Pfotenhauer Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Howard-Suamico location, 1145 Cardinal Ln, with a service to follow.
