Obituary

Emma Jane died peacefully on September 21, 2022, while in Hospice care at Cardinal Ridge Residential Care, Green Bay, WI. She was fondly known as "Jane" to friends and family. She was born to Henry and Bessie (Zimmerman) Albrecht on February 13, 1930, in Zion, IL.

Emma graduated from Zion-Benton Township High School in 1948 and married the love of her life, Robert "Bob" Maves on August 15, 1948. They had 73 wonderful years of marriage with many adventures and achievements but most of all their love and devotion to each other and family.

She is survived by her children Jennifer Maves Wolfe (Tim) Fox, Robert Maves Jr "Bobby" and Julie Maves (Bob) Kaufman. Her grandchildren include Charles Wolfe, Suzanne Wolfe (Joshua) Sopczak, Benjamin Kaufman and Hayley Kaufman and Great Grandchildren Lily Sopczak, Lukas Sopczak and Erik Wolfe. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and their children. "Jane" will be remembered lovingly by her family and numerous friends.

Emma was preceded in Death by her loving husband, Robert "Bob" Maves on March 20, 2022. Also preceding her are her parents, Bessie Albrecht and Henry Albrecht. All of her siblings preceded her in death as well: Bernice "Bea" Albrecht McNally, Beckem Albrecht, JoAnn Albrecht Riske, and Pauline Albrecht Huffman.

Emma was a lifelong member of Christ Community Church in Zion, IL and recently Bethel Baptist Church in Ellison Bay, WI. She loved the Lord and followed Jesus throughout her life. Emma was full of life, being multi-talented and creative. She was a masterful cook, seamstress, knitter and also an avid downhill skier. She worked with her husband, Dr. Maves, as the Office Manager for Maves Chiropractic Clinic.

Emma was laid to rest with a private ceremony September 23, 2022, at the Ellison Bay Cemetery in Ellison Bay, WI alongside her dear husband Robert.
