Eugene J. Stollberg, 91, Howard, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 23, 2015 with family by his side at Grancare Gardens. He was born on Aug. 4, 1924 in Milwaukee to the late John and Viola (Haerter) Stollberg. They later moved to Green Bay and Eugene graduated from West High School. He married Leona (Devroy) Hearley on Feb. 28, 1948. They celebrated 50 years of marriage before she preceded him in death on Sept. 11, 1998. He was a machinist and die maker and worked for various companies before he started his own machine shop, Green Bay Tool and Die in 1954. Upon retirement, he sold the company to his son John who still owns and operates it. Eugene enjoyed camping, boating, fishing, family cookouts and family trips. He was a huge Packer fan and had season tickets for many years. He and Leona actually did go to the "Ice Bowl" game. He also enjoyed watching the Brewers and Badgers. He is survived by his daughter, Carol (Jim) Clark; his son, John (Kathy) Stollberg; step daughters, Antoinette Miller and Marie Wickman; grandchildren, Mark (Sandy) Miller; Eric (Sara) Miller; Cathy Crossman; Diane (Ron) Remondini; great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; brother, Bob (Katie) Stollberg; brother-in-law, Robert Devroy; sister-in-law, Mildred Hale. Eugene was preceded in death by his wife, Leona; son-in-law, Delbert Miller; grandchildren, Patti Maleport and Jeff Maleport; his brother, Ralph (Pat) Stollberg; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
