Evelyn Ulve, 90, of Green Bay, WI died September 30, 2015 at home. She was born on August 28, 1925 in Battle Creek, MI the daughter of the late Benjamin and Evelyn (Chapin) Campbell. She graduated from Hastings High School in 1944 and attended Michigan State University. She worked most of her career as an executive secretary at the Battle Creek Gas Co., MI, retiring in 1985. On May 10, 1946 Evelyn married Oscar Allen Hinson, in Battle Creek, MI. He preceded her in death on January 31, 1984. On July 24, 2000 she married Robert (Bob) Ulve in Green Valley, AZ. Evie enjoyed camping, backpacking, gardening, cultivating wild flowers, time spent in Green Valley, AZ, and family gatherings in Battle Creek, MI, Green Bay and Boscobel, WI. She most of all loved bird watching and taking a leisurely afternoon drive with Bob. She is survived by her devoted husband Bob Ulve of Green Bay, daughter Jane Kelly of San Jose, CA, son Benjamin Hinson of Spokane Valley, WA; three grandchildren, Christopher (Kristan) Kelly, Shannon (Blake) Sheffield, and Sarah Kelly (Ryan Brennan) of Costa Rica; and one great grandson Luke Kelly, and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews. Evie is further survived by sister-in-law Gladys Ulve, and in the Ulve family many nieces, great nieces and great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews. She was further preceded in death by her parents, son Allen Hinson, brother Wesley Campbell; and sisters Suelette Brady, Norma Jean Cottrell, Marceline Cleveland, Charlotte Korver, and Marvel Bleeker, and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held at Pfotenhauer Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1145 Cardinal Lane, Green Bay, WI on Wednesday October 7, 2015 with visitation from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., funeral service at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
