Jul 7, 1946 — Jul 25, 2023
Gary L. Boldt 77 passed away July 25, 2023, after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. Gary was born July 7, 1946, to Alvin and Lavorna Boldt, married Karen Koehne, and had one son, Carter.
Gary was a graduate of Kewaunee High School. He served in the US Army as a supply Seargent in El Paso, Texas. After the Army, Gary went to traffic school and became a claim inspector for the Western Weighing and Inspection Bureau. Gary went on to work for Bay Lakes Manufacturing. He started the Equalizer division of Bay Lakes specializing in entry door cladding, storm windows, and storm doors. Gary quickly grew Equalizer to a very large and profitable division with two shifts of workers. He left Bay Lakes for Bay Industries where he started the Frontline Building Products division. Gary also holds 7 patents for his entry door and garage door cladding systems.
Gary was an active member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church where he served on the Church Counsel for many years. In his free time, Gary enjoyed woodworking, yardwork, and construction projects. Gary was always very busy and the happiest when he had a project to work on. He also had a strong interest in automobiles, especially classic cars. His favorites were a 1956 Chevy 2 door post and a 1963 Chevy Impala. Gary loved to attend car shows and went to many every year he was able.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents Alvin and Lavorna, his brother Kenny, sisters Delores Erickson and Elna Wolf, Karen Koehne, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the Boldt family requests that a donation be made in Gary's name to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
The Boldt family wishes to extend a special thank you to the caregivers, doctors, and staff of Tender Hearts Assisted Living and Moments Hospice.
