Gerald "Jerry" Anthony Lasek, 61, of Howard, passed away on Monday, March 12, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. Jerry was born May 16, 1956 to Anthony and Florence (Machinski) Lasek. He graduated from Pulaski High School in 1974 and NWTC (Auto Mechanics) in 1976. On August 11, 1984 he married the love of his life, Linda (Sobiesczyk). Jerry worked at Fort Howard (Georgia Pacific) for 28 years and Belmark, Inc. for 11 years until retiring on October 1, 2016.

His biggest passions were his wife and daughters. Jerry was a very proud husband and father. He enjoyed spending every moment with them including visiting the girls in Madison and Minneapolis.

Jerry loved to travel. Many fond memories were made on the 20 cruises he took with his girls and in-laws. He traveled to Europe in 2007 to honor his father's service in WWII.

He also had a passion for Chevrolet and often spoke of the dark red Camaros he owned. On weekends you could find him out to dinner, cheering on the Packers, or in his man cave (garage) working on projects and having a cold one.

Jerry was a kind, gentle, selfless, and loving person. He was a great friend and cared deeply for those around him. Although his time here was cut short, he lived a full life. He will be greatly missed.

Jerry is survived by his wife Linda; his two daughters Amber (Kevin) Cheng of Madison, and Brittany Lasek (Evan Murnan) of Minneapolis, MN; in-laws William and Lucille Sobiesczyk of Freedom; his Godfather Louie (Theresa) of Pulaski; his Aunt Norma Socha of Pulaski, as well as many other relatives and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and other relatives.

Family and friends may call at the Pfotenhauer Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Howard-Suamico location, 1145 Cardinal Lane, on Thursday, March 15, 2018 from 4 until 7:00 p.m. Prayer service 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Visitation continues on Friday at Ss. Edward & Isidore Catholic Church, 3667 Flintville  Road, Suamico, from 10 until 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 a.m. at the church with Father David Hoffman officiating.   Jerry will be laid to rest at St. John the Bapist Cemetery in Howard.
