Obituary

Gerald (Jerry) Pamperin, 88, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday evening, April 3, 2018. Jerry was born at the Pamperin family homestead in Mills Center to the late Mae (Hussin) and Ray Pamperin.  He graduated from Central Catholic High School, Class of 1947. On September 4th, 1950 he married Eleanor Gillis at St. John the Baptist Church in Howard and they celebrated their reception at Pamperin Park.  Jerry had a strong work ethic and was a glass glazier for many years, retiring from H.J. Martin.

A lifelong member of St. John the Baptist parish, Jerry was proud of his Catholic faith and the fact that he, his mother and all of his eight children graduated from St. John the Baptist School.

Jerry was proud of and served his community in many ways.  He was a member of the Village of Howard Volunteer Fire Department and served as its Treasurer.  He served on the Howard Police and Fire Commission, was a Village Trustee from 1967-1979 and also was elected to the Brown County Board of Supervisors.  Because of his service, the Village of Howard named Pamperin Road after him.  Jerry was often a resource for the Howard-Suamico Historical Society.  Of all his accomplishments, he was most proud of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Jerry was an avid sports fan, especially of the Brewers and Packers.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 67.5 years, Eleanor; his eight children, Nancy (Steve) Gaura, Suamico, Carol Williquette, Clover-Leaf Lakes, Margie (Rick) Hujet, Suring, Ken (Colleen), Howard, Keith (Cindy), Kaukauna, Jay (Toni), Pulaski, Amy (special friend Cory), Menasha and Ann, Menasha; grandchildren, Melissa Butler, Joshua (Jessie) Gaura, Jeff (Jenny) Williquette, Jesse (Charmaine) Williquette, Sam (fiancé Ashley) Hujet, Betsy (Josh) Arndt, Dan (Jen), Erin (Christopher) Murphy, Brad (Becky), Andy, Leanne, Miranda and Ben; great-grandchildren, Joe, Julie, Justin, Claire, Carson, Olivia, Emma, Noah, Macy, Cullen, Nevaeh, Addysen, Kennedy, Liam, Cecilia, Payton, Parker, Paxton, Jackson and Mykel. He is further survived by his brother Bill; sister Debra (Mike) Hughes and sisters-in-law, Sylvia Aebischer and Darlene Wery, many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Beatrice and Walter Gillis; son-in-law Mike Williquette and several brothers and sisters-in-law.
