Gerald
Rubia
Feb 1, 1973 — Apr 27, 2017
Gerald Rubia, 44, Green Bay, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 27, 2017. He was born in Stephenville, Newfoundland on Feb. 1, 1973 to Allan and Rita (Greene) Rubia. Gerald married Katherine Ann Beams on Sept. 1, 2000 at Nativity Church. He was a Uber/Lyft driver. Gerald enjoyed drives and going grocery shopping with his daughter Mikayla, taking his son Donovan to the races, Camp Uni work weekend; I think more for the people and food but he did work a little especially if power tools were involved like chainsaws, quiet time at home with his kids and wife and family day drives to places like Door County or Madison and sitting around a campfire. He was an avid hockey fan, his favorite team was the Toronto Maple Leafs and his all- time favorite player was Wayne Gretzky.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy; daughter, Mikayla; son, Donovan; mother, Rita Greene; brother, Dana Greene; father-in-law, Ray Beams; mother-in-law, Fran Beams; Jerry's extended United States family; Jerry's Canadian family and friends; Jerry's Camp Uni friends; to all whose hearts are breaking at the loss of Jerry.
Jerry loved everyone. It was hard not to smile when Jerry was present because he had a big smile that lit up the room. His personality reached people to their core leaving an everlasting impression, permanent imprint we will carry for the rest of our lives.
