Obituary

Gerald "Jerry" B Williams, 88, Green Bay, passed away October 3, 2024. He was born May 7, 1936 to the late Bernard and Helen (Charles) Williams.

Jerry graduated from Green Bay West High School in 1955. He married Judith (VandenBusch) on September 9, 1961 at St John's Baptist Church in Howard. They were blessed with four children, Lisa, David, Steven, and Mark, and Four granddaughters, Jaiden, Sidney, Toni, and Summer.

He was a part of the Red Arrow 32nd Army division that was called up in October 1961. Jerry joined the Green Bay Police Department in 1963 and served there until his retirement as a Captain.

Jerry loved gardening and farming. His pumpkin patch was enjoyed by all, but his granddaughters always got first pick.

He enjoyed playing fast pitch softball with all his friends well into his fifties.

Jerry was an avid outdoorsman. He frequently visited the porch club, where he would exchange stories with his neighbors and friends.

His greatest passion was hunting. He owned a piece of land in Michigan, where he hunted with his children and granddaughters. He cherished his hunting trips so much that he kept a journal of all his experiences. Michigan was his happy place!

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Helen Williams; father and mother in law Louis VandenBusch and Ruth LaFave; brothers Thomas and Ronald Williams; brother in laws Jerome VandenBusch, James Nachtwey, Tony Kerscher, Norbert Oudenhoven and Goddaughter Ann Williams. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Judith; children Lisa (Mike De Vasure) Williams, David Williams, Steven (Jamie) Williams, and Mark (Jen Way) Williams; and his four precious granddaughters (Jaiden Williams, Sidney Williams, Toni Williams and Summer Way). Brothers Richard and James, sisters Gloria, Jeannie, and Judith.
