Geraldine
Steeno
May 31, 1933 — May 21, 2024
Geraldine (Tappa) Steeno, 90 years old was called to Heaven on May 21st, 2024 from natural causes. Geraldine was born on May 31st,1933, to the late Charles and Mary Ellen Tappa. Her nicknames changed over time. Gerri or more commonly known as Grandma Great was so loved by her family and friends. Geraldine moved often as a child, her Dad was a home builder, and went to various schools including The Academy. Geraldine's lifelong passion was nurturing her children. Being a stay at home mom was a pleasure to her and she dreaded when her 3 children would be starting school. As her children grew up she worked small jobs to keep herself busy.
Geraldine was a great cook. Her Thanksgiving stuffing was a staple in our family. She shared with us her wonderful secret recipe. Geraldine loved taking short trips to the casino, playing the dice game of right, left, center as well as playing many card games with her family and friends throughout her life. She enjoyed listening and dancing to old country and polka music and watching the Lawrence Welk show. Geraldine was so giving and unselfish. She was beautiful inside and out. Geraldine's children and all of her grandchildren were the light of her life – she definitely was a proud and deserving Grandma Great.
Geraldine and Wilbert were married at St. Joseph's church in Green Bay on September 9th, 1950. They were both very proud of the family they had created. They were loving parents of 3 children, 6 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and 2 Great Great grandchildren and other step great grandchildren as well.
Survivors include her children: Steve (Joann) Steeno, Sue O'Connor and Scott (Leslie) Steeno; Grandchildren: Jodi Seymour and fiancé Ben Goggins, BobbiJo (Joe) Neuens, Josh (Tonia) Seymour, Kimberly (Jason) Decur and Kendall (Jocya) Steeno; Great Grandchildren: Jessica (Taylor) Johnson, Austin Ward and Alexandria, Benjamin Blaney, Logan Seymour and Morgan, Joey Neuens and Taylor, Sammi Neuens and Brett, Dom Decur, Gabe Decur, Evie Rose Decur, Kaleb Nutt, Lyndon Steeno, Jamison Vincent, Mason Vincent, Owen Vincent, Brady Vincent, Brody Zeinert, Kira Zeinert, Emily Goggins, and Thomas Goggins; Great Great grandchildren: Crew Johnson and Myles Molloy.
