Hazel M. Ziarnik, 102, formerly of Manitowoc, WI died on January 11, 2024.

She was born on May 11, 1921, in Leopolis, WI the daughter of Rudolph and Elsie (Bucholtz) Kucksdorf. On June 8, 1940 Hazel married Edwin F. Ziarnik at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Manitowoc. She worked many years as a clerk in retail sales for J.C. Penney Co. until retiring in 1986. Also, she was a part of the V.F.W. Auxiliary in Manitowoc and was a member of the Rosary & Altar Society with St. Mary's Catholic Church for over 50 years.

Her survivors include: a son, Larry Ziarnik – Green Bay, WI; a daughter and son-in-law, Sandra (Roger) Tangeman – Manitowoc, WI; daughter-in-law, Beth Ziarnik – Oshkosh, WI; 8 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and a special family friend, Pat Quan – California.

She was preceded in death by Edwin; her daughter, Dianne Ziarnik; son, James Ziarnik; grandsons, Trevor and Brad Tangeman; sister and brother-in-law, Lorraine (Ervin) Mehberg; brother and sister-in-law, Leslie (Jean) Kucksdorf; 2 brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bill (Jean) Wilke and LeRoy (Laverne) Ziarnik; a cousin, Delores Ziarnik; and a daughter-in-law, Bridget Ziarnik.

Hazel will be laid to rest at St. Mary's Cemetery in Manitowoc on May 10, 2024, after a Mass at church.
