Obituary

"Our joys will be greater, Our love will be deeper, Our lives will be fuller, Because we shared your moment."

Isabel Rose Klapps was born on Thursday, January 16, 2025 at 9:15 p.m. to the parents of Allie and Corey Klapps at Meriter Hospital of Madison. She weighed 4 pounds, 8 ounces and was 16.5 inches long. They waited for her birth with joyful expectation, and loved her beyond measure.

Isabel's family was blessed with 1 hour and 16 minutes with her before she left the arms of her parents and went to her heavenly home at 10:31 p.m. Isabel experienced hugs and kisses from mommy and daddy, holding hands with her family, a dedication ceremony surrounded by loved ones, and being told "I love you" an uncountable amount of times.

Isabel was preceded in death by her maternal great grandparents, Ida Mae and Ralph Herrell, and Robert Quint; and her paternal great grandmother Rochelle Walker.

Isabel is survived by her devoted parents, Allie and Corey Klapps; her cherished grandparents, Rebecca Herrell, Robert D. Quint, Richard and Lisa Finch, and Jules and Teresa Klapps; maternal great grandmother, Lorene Quint, and paternal great grandparents, Daniel and Mary Albers. She was deeply loved by her aunts and uncles, Shelby and Nathan Maas, Kelby Quint, Austin Quint, Leah and Emerson Sullivan, and Sara and Sam Ably. She was adored by her cousins, Idaline, Abigail, and Desmond Maas. Isabel has several great aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Diagnosed with a fatal condition in utero, Isabel's life from the very beginning was a ministry of love and courage. Her story is marked by the unwavering love from her parents and her brave fight to live. She has changed the hearts of all those who loved her, and taught the true meaning of trusting in the Lord.

Allie and Corey would like to personally thank our nurses, Kacie and Alix (L&D), Steph and Sara (PP), Macy (Fetal Concerns Care Coordinator), Nicole (Supervisor of Family Health Education) and Leah (Clinical Practice Leader, Perinatal Care) for their compassion, kindness, and support during this very tough time. We will forever be grateful.

A funeral service for the immediate family will be held at a later date in Garden City, Kansas.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Connor's Cot Foundation at www.connorscot.com . They were instrumental in helping our family, and gave us the gift of time to spend four precious days with Isabel in the comfort of our home.
