Obituary

James "Jimmy" Allen Stahlkopf passed away peacefully at his home, with his wife by his side on October 30 th , 2022, after a very short battle with pancreatic cancer.

He was born to the late Milton and Emma (Hoefs) Stahlkopf on May 24 th , 1947, in Bonduel. He graduated from Bonduel High school in 1965 and remained forever a Bonduel Bear. On May 30 th , 1970, he married the love of his life Patricia Mueller. He retired the first time from Proctor and Gamble in 1999 after a 33-year career. He soon realized that retirement was not for him, so he began his second career at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, WI. He started out as a valet attendant and then moved to switch board where he was supplied with endless treats from his co-workers. He met many friends during the 17 years he worked there, many of whom he kept in contact with so he could stay up to date on all the hospital gossip.

Jim was an avid Packer fan, lover of Sudoku, reading the newspaper, cheese curds, popcorn, peanuts, and hidden car snacks.

Jim and Pat recently celebrated their 52 nd wedding anniversary. Growing up I witnessed their love for each other, their struggles, and their victories. Throughout it all they remained friends and their love continued to be constant and unwavering. My friends loved to congregate at my house and share all of life's ups and downs with them. It was always a safe and loving place to be.

Jim's grandchildren meant the world to him, and he spoke about his love and dedication to them as being one of the things he wanted to be remembered for. He was their biggest fan at all their sporting events and could be found pacing back and forth rubbing his forehead when the games got close. He enjoyed cheering on Seth at trap competitions and could always be counted on to be at a band concert at moment's notice. Many trips with Patsy were planned on visiting them at their respective colleges as they got older.

Jim was always up for a trip to Florida with Mike whether it was to watch baseball, softball or just hang out. We were assured that they were always on their best behavior.

Jim had the kindest heart, the most genuine soul and the jolliest and most contagious of laughs. His love for his family shined all over his face and he loved the times he got to spend with us.

Jim enjoyed socializing and could strike up a conversation with anyone. Those that knew him described him as one of a kind and someone that was there to help with anything whenever he was needed.

"To know even one life has breathed easier because you lived. That is to have succeeded." ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Patsy and their daughter Sarah (Mike) Collins, Denmark; 3 grandchildren Jack (Kelsey), Breanna and Seth Collins, one sister Sharon (Dick) Kast, Tulsa, OK; 3 brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Brad (Connie) Mueller, Florida, Robert (Michele) Mueller, Port Washington, Richard (Jina) Mueller, Portage; along with many nieces and nephews that he adored; beloved pets Sami and Simon.

He is preceded in death by his parents Milton and Emma Stahlkopf, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jack and Jean Mueller, and nephew Eric Kast.
