James L. Meineke left this world and joined the love of his life, Sally, in heaven on March 4, 2023. Jim was a loving, hilarious, and compassionate father, husband, baps, uncle, and cat dad to Billy. His favorite place to be was in Canada – where he would go fishing in his boat and prep fish fries with family, friends, and the best dog in the world, Ranger.

He proudly served in the U.S. Navy with his best friends, Ken Bellinger and Bill Clancy. Jim was genuinely in love with his country and was known to frequently pick up the tab for others who were in service of our country. World War II veterans usually received a smile and handshake, too.

Our dad was strong in his faith. He knew our God and the truth of eternal life. Because of our mom and dad's example, we know that we will all be together again.

He is preceded in death by his parents Leroy and Dorothy Meineke, his sister Joan Gibson, and his soulmate Sally.

He is survived by his children Kelly (Todd), Todd, Carin (Chris), and Cathy; grandchildren Jesse (Bri), Josie, and Simon; great grandchild Christopher; and sister Kay.

In lieu of a memorial service, we hope everyone will join us in spirit on Saturday, March 11 ^th at 1:00 PM to celebrate a full life of love, family, so many memories, tears of laughter for days, and the absolutely wonderful human being that was our dad.
