Obituary

Janet B. Harvey, 80, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2023, with her daughters by her side.

She was born to Alice and Arno Ninmer on October 7, 1942, in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. She graduated from Manitowoc Lutheran High School June 11, 1961 and went on to work for Sears as a switchboard operator. While working at Sears, she met her husband of 47 years, James Harvey. They married Christmas Day 1961 and moved to Fort Carson in Colorado Springs. Jim and Jan returned to Wisconsin in 1965 to raise a family and years later became entrepreneurs with the creation of The Jewelry Box. Jan retired from their final location of 15 years at the Bay Park Square Mall.

She was a hardworking, loving wife and mother. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, and especially loved her cockatoo, Rocky.

Janet is survived by her Daughters: Cheryl Woyak and husband Todd, Christine Van Bellinger and husband Scott. Grandchildren: Dylan, Ayanna, Justin, Luke, Calley (Blake), Creo, Azee, Wylee, and Cash. Great-Grandchild, Tatum. Twin Sister: Joan Harvey.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband and parents.
