Jason L.
Steinfeldt
Sep 8, 1982 — Jul 8, 2025
Jason Steinfeldt, 42, of Howard, Wisconsin, passed away with family by his side on July 8, 2025, after a hard-fought battle with cancer. He was born on September 8, 1982, to Thomas and Susan Steinfeldt and graduated from Bay Port High School, class of 2002. Jason started dating Kayla Cygan in March of 2008 and married her in September of 2013. Jason currently worked at Fincantieri Marine Group as a paint area manager.
Jason was a devoted husband, loving father, loyal friend, and passionate outdoorsman. He found his greatest joy in spending time with his family and making memories through the things he loved most — hunting, fishing wherever the water took him (especially with his son), and simply enjoying life to the fullest. Whether out in the woods or gathered around the table, Jason's laughter and generous spirit brought people together. He was a well-known jokester and loved to tease people.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Kayla, and their children: Jaidyn, 20 (and her friend Jack), Hunter, 15 and Emma, 9. He also leaves behind his parents, Thomas and Susan Steinfeldt; brother, John Steinfeldt; niece, Samantha Steinfeldt; in-laws, Mark and Lisa Cygan, brother-in-law, Steven (Mauri) Cygan; and grandparents-in-law, Mary and Gordy Kuemmel; along with many extended family members and dear friends who will miss him deeply.
Jason is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John and Marian Steinfeldt; maternal grandparents, Lee and Ruth Grages; and friend, Mike Mielcarek.
Jason's legacy is one of love, laughter, and living life with heart. He will be remembered for his unwavering loyalty, his love for the outdoors, and the special way he made everyone feel welcome and cared for.
A memorial gathering will be held on Monday, July 21 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Green Bay Community Church, 600 Cardinal Lane (services will be held in the chapel, please use doors C & D). A memorial service will immediately follow.
