Obituary

After suffering from severe depression for most of his life, Jason L. Vogels has finally found peace. Jason passed away on the morning of Sunday, September 10, 2017, into the waiting arms of his hero and dad, Lee Vogels. Jason was born in Green Bay on April 8, 1976 to Lee and Pam Vogels. He was the oldest of three children. He graduated from Preble High School in 1995 and then studied horticulture at Fox Valley Technical College. He especially enjoyed working in the outdoors.

Jason was a quiet, simple man who was loyal and faithful to his many friends and family. He loved music, attending concerts, playing the guitar and watching sports. He was an avid Packers fan who never missed the chance to watch the games with his good friends. He also enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the family cabin in Gills Rock, WI.

Jason's most treasured moments were those spent with his precious 7 year old daughter, Ariah. She was his greatest accomplishment, the love of his life; she will carry his love and memory within her heart forever.

He leaves behind his daughter, Ariah; his mother, Pam; sister, Amber; brother, Matt; a very special aunt, Pat Ferguson (Fred Anderson); and many other family members. He is further survived by his best friend and the mother of his child, Sara DeRuyter and so many other friends who were touched by his kindness and humble nature.

Jason was preceded in death by both maternal and paternal grandparents and his father Lee Vogels, who passed away on March 23, 2017.
