Jeanette Marie Slota (Jean) passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 17th, 2022, at Saint Vincent's Hospital in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Jean was born on December 5th, 1935, to Thaddeus Chrobak and Jeanette Deloris Chrobak (SzalkiewiczI) in Chicago, Illinois. Growing up in Chicago, Jean met the love of her life, Chester Anthony Slota and they were married on September 10th, 1955, at Saint Fidelis Church. Chester and Jean moved out of the city and bought a farm in Crivitz, Wisconsin. After a few years of "life on the farm" they established Chet's Happy Tap in Crivitz and delighted friends, neighbors and patrons with polka music almost every weekend. After Chester passed away, Jean moved to Green Bay where she worked AMS (UHC) until she retired. Jean loved taking care of her grandchildren, taking walks, going the library and doing puzzles.

Jean is survived by her children: David Slota, Mark (Lisa) Slota, Christine (Chris) Vall, Matthew (Kelly) Slota, and Adam (Erin) Slota. Grandchildren: Elizabeth Meek, Melissa James, Nicolas Slota Katheryn Slota, John Vall, Mikey Vall, Anthony Slota, and Jordan Slota. Great Grandchildren: Megan Meek, Alexis James, Jazmine James, and Kaylee Slota.
