Jeanne Doris (Muenster) Hansen, 83, Green Bay, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 11, 2015. She was born on June 18, 1932 in Oconto, to the late Theodore and Rhoda (Cota) Muenster. In high school, she was first chair clarinet and class officer, Green Bay East Class of 1950. Jeanne had a passion for music and played piano her entire life. Her love of playing piano has been passed on through her family. Jeanne began her career following graduation from high school. She advanced through the years in her profession and was an executive secretary at Fort Howard Paper Company for many years. She began her career in Human Resources at Fort Howard, and then later accepted the position of Human Resource Manager at TAB Products in Mayville. When she retired, Jeanne and her daughter Jane owned Seasons of Joy Floral and Gift Boutique where she enjoyed meeting so many people in the community. Her greatest love was spending cherished time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Donne Jr. (Cathy) Hansen, Abrams; Denise (Dennis) Gillis, Howard; Jane (Paul) La Luzerne, Green Bay; grandchildren, Eric (Jenna) Gillis; Angela (Jason) Maroszek; Donne J. Hansen III; Dustin Hansen and fiancé Adrea Crochere; Gabrielle Smurawa; Lyndsey Smurawa; Layla Rose La Luzerne; great grandchildren, Zayden Smurawa, Zavier Mendoza, Christion Smurawa, Taylor Hansen; sister, Phyllis (Joe) Skalecki; brothers, Dennis (Marge) Muenster; Jerry and "D" Muenster; lifelong treasured friends, retired Major General and Mrs. William O'Leksy; James and Mary Prosser; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, as well as Donne Hansen Sr., her children's father.
Jeanne's family wishes to thank the caring and supportive staff of Mapleridge Medical Center, where Jeanne lived for the past year. A special thank you to those at Unity Hospice whose kindness and support gave us all peace.
A memorial gathering to Celebrate Her Life will be held at the Pfotenhauer Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Howard-Suamico location, 1145 Cardinal Lane, on Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2015 from 4 until 6:00 p.m. Memorial Service 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Deacon Nick Williams officiating.
