Jerome Gerrits, 91, passed away on September 17, 2025. He was born on November 2, 1933, to the late George and Elsie Gerrits. He graduated from West High School in 1952. He served in the U.S. Navy and received an honorable discharge from the Navy in 1955. He attended college at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay from 1955 to 1957. Jerome worked as a mechanic for can making machinery retiring from American National Can in 1989 after 32 years of service. In 1956, he married Ruth Ann Meyer. They had four children – Cathy of Green Bay, Tom (Laurie) of Little Chute, WI, Paul of Green Bay, and Jim of Phillips, WI. He also had one granddaughter, Rebecca Gerrits, whom he treasured his time with, in his retired years. He is further survived by his sister, Juliana Gerrits.

Jerome enjoyed the outdoors – hunting and fishing. Jerome and Ruth spent a lot of their time at their cottage on Pelican Lake. Jerome also enjoyed watching basketball and football, especially the Packers. It was Jerome's wishes to not have a funeral – just a prayer would be appreciated by friends and relatives.
