Joan Carol (McFarquhar) Said, 83, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, September 15, 2021. She was born to George and Verna Ann (Reeves) McFarquhar on December 30, 1937 in Detroit, MI. She married Joseph Said and together Joan and Joseph co-owned Phoenix Commercial Electric in Phoenix, AZ. Joan enjoyed going to Las Vegas, playing bingo, and spending time with all of her friends.

Joan is survived by her children, daughter Linda and husband Norman Luetkens, son David Thomas, grandchildren, Kyle Luetkens and Anastasia Luetkens, sister Shirley McCullem, Norman's mother and best friend, Nancy Luetkens, special friends, Carol, Mary K., Lori, and all the ladies she played cards with.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband Joseph.

She was more than just a mom, she was my best friend, confidant and always there whenever I needed her help. She was also extremely close to her grandchildren Kyle and Anastasia, who adored her.
