Johanna (Jo/Josie) Lea Rosenthal, age 69, Howard, passed away at Cardinal Ridge Residential Care Facility on May 15, 2016. She was born on March 3, 1947 to the late Walter and Inez (Sawyer) Leffel in Neenah, WI. She grew up on Doty Island in Neenah graduating with the class of 1965 at Neenah High School and Patricia Stevens Career College in 1966. Jo married Richard (Dick) Rosenthal on September 7, 1968 in Neenah. She worked for several years at Shopko Pharmacy before retiring in 1997. In her retirement, she enjoyed sewing, crossword puzzles, her trips to Arizona and her monthly "breakfast club" get-togethers with the Neenah High School Class of 1965 at Oinks in Neenah.
Survivors include her husband, Dick; two daughters, Dawn (Bob) Willems, Suamico; Deb (John) Kleuskens, De Pere; three granddaughters, Taylor and Kelsey Willems and Chloe Kleuskens; older sister, Ann (Wayne) Rudolf, Santa Clara, CA; one sister-in-law, Shirley Long, Oshkosh; aunt, Betty Sawyer, De Pere; nieces and nephews, Shelley (Kenny) Renshaw, Mark Rudolf and Charlie (Rachel) Rudolf all of Santa Clara, CA and Christine (Rod) Dietzen, Oshkosh and their families; her "second family", Mary Pat Willems, Barb (Ed Wojkiewicz) Willems, Patti Willems, Saige Wojkiewicz, Larry and Ellie Jackson, Steve (Donna) Rosenthal, Shannan Rosenthal and Shane (Lisa) Rosenthal; along with special friends, Judy Delaurelle, Jim and Karen Faucett, Steve and Julie Bertrand, Jim and Sherry Kamps, Dave and Connie Johnson and numerous other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Lynn and Herm Ravitch; brother-in-law, Elwyn Long; grandparents; aunts and uncles.
Family and friends may call at the Pfotenhauer Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1145 Cardinal Lane, on Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 4 until 6:00 p.m. Memorial Service 6:00 p.m. with Rev. Steve Fewell officiating. Per Jo's wishes, she will be cremated and requests no flowers. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the caring staff of Cardinal Ridge who made her last few months comfortable along with Froedert Hospital Cancer Center.
