Obituary

John C. Casper, age 75, passed away unexpectedly on October 25, 2025. He was born on March 30, 1950, to the late Felix and Martina Casper.

John was a devoted father and proud grandfather whose greatest joy came from watching his family grow and succeed. He spent countless hours at the ballpark and gymnasium, cheering on his sons and, later, his grandchildren, always sporting his favorite Brewers gear. His love for sports and family was matched only by his passion for animals, the outdoors, and his deep appreciation for life's adventures.

Throughout his career, John was known for his dedication, expertise, strong work ethic, and his ability to fix anything. He worked for Nordco, Inc. from 2001–2008 and again in 2013 as a Field Service Technician, servicing railroad equipment throughout the United States and Canada. He also worked for Telsmith, Inc. as a Field Service Technician, maintaining and repairing rock crushing and screening equipment, that took him as far as South America. Earlier in his career, John worked for M-B, Inc. as an electrician, helping build and maintain pavement marking equipment and airport sweepers.

An avid traveler, John fulfilled his dream of visiting every U.S. state, most of them twice, and explored five different countries along the way. One of the highlights of his life was the unforgettable experience of flying in a fighter jet, a moment he cherished and often shared with a smile.

John is survived by his two sons, Michael (Irene) Casper, Doug (Christina) Casper; his beloved grandchildren, Cal, Liv, and Mya; and the mother of his children, Joyce Casper.

He is further survived by his brother, Elmer (Susan) Casper; sisters, Rose (Jerry) Criter, Patricia Stephany, Janet (Gary) Griffiths; sister-in-law, Janice Casper; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He is preceded in death by his parents Felix and Martina Casper; brother, Lavern Casper; sister, Eileen Birschbach; brothers-in- law, Ron Birschbach and Fred Stephany.

Johns's wishes were to be cremated, with a private family service. Those wishes are being followed by his family. Pfotenhauer Funeral Homes & Cremation Services is assisting the family.
