John R. England, 72, Pulaski, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Thursday, November 30, 2017. He was born in Peshtigo on March 6, 1945 to the late Russell and Lois (Bair) England. Upon graduation John moved to Chicago to attend trade school, where he then met the love of his life, Joan Bonthron.
John and Joan married in Chicago on Feb. 13, 1965 and shortly after moved to Green Bay. It was there that they would raise their family. He and his wife recently celebrated 52 years of marriage. John was a self-employed truck driver and retired in 2002. He loved spending time with his family and creating new memories with his grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing from his boat, spoiling his pets, and listening to the Chicago Cubs games.
Survivors include his wife, Joan; son, Michael (Leda) England; daughter, Doreen (Ken) Kluth and their children Patrick and Max Salscheider, Kelsi and Kayla Kluth; brothers, Charles (Joann) England; Sidney (Julie) England; Allen (Karen) England; sisters, Nancy (Ken) Rosenthal; Susan (Charles) Kupchik; sister-in-law, Judy England; brother-in-law, William Bonthron. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
John was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Glen, Don and David England; sister, Judy Perry.
A Celebration of His Life will be held at the Pfotenhauer Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Howard-Suamico location, 1145 Cardinal Lane, on Saturday, December 9, 2017 from 10 until 11:30 a.m. Memorial Service 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
