Jon S. Challeen, 84, passed away in the early morning of September 18, 2023. He was born on October 25, 1938, to the late William and Grace Challeen in Pine City, Minnesota. Jon married Sandy Dykstra on July 31, 1971, and have had two children together – Eric and Karin.

After receiving his Bachelor's Degree in Education from the University of Minnesota – Duluth, Jon was a teacher of English and Geography in Marshfield, WI, Mora, MN, and Antigo, WI. During this time, he concurrently received his Master's in Administration from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. He finished his career working in business administration within the education industry in Clintonville, WI and Ashwaubenon, WI.

Jon is survived by his wife and children; sister, Sally Johnson; sister-in-law, Jean Challeen; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Karin (Chuck) Machacek, William Challeen Jr., Gary (LeeAnn) Challeen, and Lois (Marlin) Moses; brother-in-law, Dick Johnson; nephews, Bill Moses and Josh Challeen; niece, Leslie Johnson; and special friend, Laura Machacek.

A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, September 29, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Pilgrim Congregational Church (991 Pilgrim Way, Green Bay). Visitation will continue on Saturday, September 30, from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM, with a service to immediately follow at 11:00 AM.
